2. Pedigree • We watch every lamb being born • All lambs are tagged with a unique number • Extensive research gives pedigrees of exceptional length • Pickwick continues research to find the genetic basis for features of the breed

Health • Pickwick has longstanding Brucellosis Accreditation (CW 92/7) • Pickwick vaccinates (Gudair and 6 in 1) and drenches regularly • Pickwick regularly assesses faecal samples for worm problems, and can provide EBVs for natural resistance to worms • Pickwick treats, with veterinary assistance, all health problems as they arise • Pickwick has begun analyzing DNA markers (eg for footrot resistance) • Pickwick records the features of all births and is waiting on an analysis of this data for genetic factors involved in birthing ease * We know all our sheep individually, and see each of them every day
